I currently have a bunch of rigs for a project I am working on - unfortunately they are rigged with linear position bones, no problem if I run the script off of the forum topic ( http://www.facefx.com/forums/dont-use-linear-position-controllers-3d-stu... )
The only problem I run into is with head gestures - because the ehad bone is biped it gives me an error when attempting to include head in the solve.
How would I best overcome this obstacle without re-rigging the 6 characters ?

The newest FaceFX plugins (I assume you're using FaceFX 2010?) do support animating a biped head bone. Can you send us your FaceFX 3dsmax plugin log file when you try to do this?
